Q. What are ‘Bags that Bite’?
A. They are furry bags (or purses) that have a zipper closure, cloth rope “strap” and the added features of foam teeth and plastic eyes to give them the look and feel of monsters.

Q. What does "BTB" mean?
A. "Bags That Bite".

Q. Are they hand made?
A. They are hand–crafted from purchased raw materials.

Q. What do you mean by “unique”?
A (by Justine). "They are (as far as I know) the only bags just like these out there. I’ve only used my own patterns and my own concept of monsters!"

Q. Are they ... real fur?
A. No! Only faux animal fur is used. Cottons, Polyesters, and Acrylics are the only things sacrificed!

Q. Can I use my bag year–round?
A. Sure! They can be an every day or a special occasion bag.

Q. How do I clean my Bag that Bites?
A. We suggest hand washing the inner lining and using a damp cloth on the outer fur. Additional notes from Justine - "Every once in a while my Bag that Bites tries to eat things that aren’t good for him, and his fur gets in need of occasional refreshing."

Q. Why so many different strap lengths? What length should I get?
A. Know thyself. Do you like to wear your purse on one shoulder? Then a 30” or 40” strap will be what you want (longer for the longer torso, shorter for the smaller framed people). If instead you prefer having your purse across your body, then a longer strap (50” or 60”) is better (again, longer for the longer torso, shorter for the smaller framed people).

Q. Are the Bags that Bite safe for kids?
A. There are no sharp bits (even though the teeth *look* sharp, they are only foam), but these bags have a fear of fire. Flammable materials are used in their making, and so they may not be appropriate for children under 8.

Q. There is no way to pick eye color. Can I pick my BTB's eye color?
A. The short answer is "yes". Now here's the long answer: We really put a lot of effort into making the eyes for your BTB. We also feel that every BTB is different and demands eyes that are a perfect match. Sometimes that match isn't clear until the other elements of the BTB have been assembled. We like to reserve judgment and make that choice when the time comes. That said, if you really have your heart set on a particular eye color, please make note of it in the "notes" section of the order form.

Q. How long does it take to get one?
A. 4-6 weeks. These babies are handmade! If you really, really need yours sooner please contact us and we'll see what we can do.

Q. What are the “Zipper Skulls”?
A. These are small hand-crafted purses for those times when a “monster bag” will be too much to watch over. The Skull Purses are ideal for a small cell phone, or a tiny MP3 player, or just your ID and some cash. I like to think of them as an extra pocket – that is also decorative and has a zipper closure.

Q. What are the “Biting Skulls”?
A. Just one skull wouldn't do. This one's about the same size as the Zipper Skulls, but it has a combination of velcro and snap closures. When you open the purse the skull opens its mouth to swallow your stuff.
